A Havasupai Petroglyph, and Its Misrepresentation by Young Earth Creationists

A cave wall with petroglyphs on it, in the Havasupai area of Arizona. Notice that there are several glyphs (stylized symbols). The petroglyph of particular interest is lower and to the left.

A close-up of the petroglyph. This is the young earth creationist "evidence" of a dinosaur sighting.

This is how the young earth creationist Bert Thompson presents the petroglyph on his website.

This is how some other young earth creationists are presenting the petroglyph. Note that the dinosaur outline drawing shown on the left – look how they even show it on a rock surface! – is pure YEC fabrication!

The fallible "human wisdom" of the young earth creationists on this is nothing more than, "Hey, this rock drawing, when looked at as an outline where we change the edges a bit to fit what we want it to look like a little better, somewhat resembles the shape of a dinosaur; therefore – ta da! – Native Americans saw dinosaurs," – even while they ignore the context of the petroglyph.

Well, it certainly isn't the first time creationists have quoted something out of context!
