Creation in its most general religious sense can be interpreted very broadly as the idea that God is involved in what we think of as the "creative" processes that exist in nature. However, here I focus the critical eyes of truth-seeking on that particular brand of fundamentalist Christian doctrine called creationism.
acquires knowledge;
the ears of the wise
seek it out.

truth. Everything
isn't relative.
Evolution Be
God's Method
Of Creation?
Leads Us
Where We Do Not
Want To Go.
I was raised to believe in creationism, and I believed it. But my study of the issues relevant to creationism led me to reject it. Truth-seeking led me where I did not want to go. I was raised with biblically fundamentalist beliefs, was a sincere Christian active in my church, and was happy with my worldview. But by the middle of 1983, my truth-seeking had led me away from my fundamentalist religious beliefs (and truth didn't care about my personal feelings on the matter).
Of All People,
Have The Duty To Be
Intellectually Honest
If you believe that your own personal religious beliefs are more important than truth (and you demonstrate this by refusing to consider information that contradicts your beliefs), then you are really just making an idol out of your own human beliefs and then setting this idol up on a pedestal and worshipping it, instead of humbly accepting truth. If, as a Christian, you do this, you make yourself into a hypocrite.
Stand The Truth,
Don't Pretend To
Be A Truth-Seeker!
Here I present my perspective on creationism as one who used to be a creationist, and who continues to believe now, just as I did then, that truth-seeking really is more important than your personal religious beliefs.
Some people consider truth-seeking to be dangerous, but that's just the folly of mere human thinking. If the truth is dangerous, so be it!

Ancient Universe Challenge
I challenge any young earth/young universe advocate to provide information to me, relevant to the age of the universe, that shows that the universe is only about 6,000 years old. Remember your logic now: This information must be genuinely inconsistent with the idea that the universe has been around far longer than just 6,000 years. I will post such information on this website, and we can discuss it if appropriate. I offer you the opportunity to show that the idea of the ancient universe is wrong. (In correspondence with this, I will even do the HTML editing of your writing for you.)
This challenge has been posted on this website since January 18, 2000. As of October 3, 2007, not a single creationist has responded to this challenge.
Not one!
But I have not let this rest here. I have engaged YECs in discussion in their own discussion forums (at least 16 different discussion forums in the past 7 years). Check out the "Archives" section in the sidebar. Not one young earth creationist has been able to produce any empirical evidence to support their fallacious idea that the universe is merely 6,000 or 10,000 years old. Many of them (in contradiction of their own "scientific" creationists) even advocate the view that the empirical evidence is irrelevant and that relying on the evidence from the real world about the real world will actually mislead you (aka the "apparent age" concept). That should tell you something about the utter emptiness of their position, when leading advocates of it directly contradict each other regarding the very basis of their position, one side claiming the objective evidence shows a young universe/young earth, the other side accepting the fact that the objective evidence shows antiquity but claiming that God just created the empirical data in such a way as to make it look old.
If you are a young earth (young universe) creationist, I suggest that you click on over to my Essays & Articles page and take a look at my article regarding the supernova "SN1987A and The Antiquity of the Universe." If you can't handle the truth, then you ought to stop pretending to be such a truth-seeker! That's just plain hypocrisy, you know?
Of course, you could always do the right thing and abandon at least the "young" part of young earth creationism, since that part has been so clearly and obviously disproved by direct observation of the universe itself.

YEC Big Lie - "Evolution's just another religion"
This is one of those silly remarks you see young earth creationists and other creationists repeating all the time. Of course, the truth is that evolution just as much a part of science as any other area of science. Here's the proof:
Yes, evolution really is part of science
(What's that you say? You think I'm being a little rough on them saying that they're lying? Next time a young earth creationist uses this particular Big Lie with you, just give this information to him, and watch how he responds. Yes, that's lying!)
